How to become a member

Who can join the Society?

ORDINARY MEMBERS:

All persons registered at the Health Professions Council of South Africa
(HPCSA) as a Radiographer, whether they practice: Diagnostic Radiography, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound.

SUPPLEMENTARY MEMBERS:

All persons registered at the HPCSA as Supplementary Diagnostic Radiographers.

STUDENT MEMBER:

All persons registered at the HPCSA as a Student Radiographer.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER:

Persons actively associated with radiography and health services who wish to be kept informed but who are not qualified to become members in terms of the above.

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER:

Those companies, institutions, associations whether incorporated or unincorporated, and whether endowed with legal or corporate capacity, or not so endowed which are actively interested in the promotions of radiography as a science.

Application for 2012 Membership

The annual fee for 01 January - 31 December 2012 is STRICTLY payable by 31 March 2012 in order to receive your April issue of official journal "SA Radiographer"

For Qualified Radiographers: R300 + R30 joining fee = R330.00
For Supplementary Radiographers: R150 + R30 joining fee = R180.00
For Diagnostic Students: R150 + no joining fee = R150

Membership Includes:

  • 2 issues of “SA Radiographer Journal” in one calendar year – valued at R65 each.
    (with a 3 CPD points accredited questionnaire in each issue)
  • 1 issue of our Branch Newsletter in one calendar year.
  • 1 issue of a National Newsletter in one calendar year.
  • Reduced registration fees for our  Branch Seminars – a saving of R100 per Seminar.
  • Application for monetary assistance for further studies.
  • Invitation to attend the Annual General Meeting in January of each year.
